near distilleries and vibrant food spots for weekend explorations
I visited recently and loved the nearby Strathisla Distillery, just over a kilometer away, perfect for a pleasant stroll, and the local restaurants felt so inviting, especially the homemade burgers at the Cooperage, making it a treat for food lovers.

Cozy stay with fab food!
Had a good night here! The room was tidy and comfy—the bed was really nice. Enjoyed a meal from the bar, and wow, those burgers are the bomb! Just wish the check-in took a bit less time. it felt kinda slow. great spot for a family stay.

Had a fantastic group trip with friends! We explored some stunning local spots and enjoyed a great dinner. The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. For a tasty start, don't miss the haggis bon bons and definitely go for the pavlova for dessert. Can't wait to come back!

Clean and comfy stay
I was pleasantly surprised by the modern room. Super clean and cozy. The bar area was great for a chill evening. Only bummer was the shower pressure—it could've been better, but it wasn't a deal breaker. a good spot for a night.

The Standard Double Room was clean and modern, which I appreciated. the mattress was pretty uncomfortable, felt like old springs. There was a lot of noise from the road outside, which made it hard to sleep well. It could use some better soundproofing for sure.

The Standard Double Room features a surprisingly spacious layout with a full-size kettle and a selection of hot beverage options, providing a nice touch for a relaxing stay. The cleanliness of the accommodations stood out, reinforcing a sense of comfort in an otherwise basic setting.
Noise levels from the hotel bar became intolerable, with music blaring until 1:30 AM and thin walls allowing every sound from neighboring rooms to intrude – including, unfortunately, a loud snorer. Arriving as a solo traveler and finding the restaurant fully booked was a letdown. having nowhere on-site to eat pushed me to a local chippy, which just can't compete with a proper meal after a long day. this hotel barely qualifies as such. lacking breakfast and decent dining options makes it feel merely like rooms above a pub.
